Plant Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis at our Karachi facility, located in Port Qasim - Ghaghar Phatak. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems, who will support the efficient operation of our advanced, PLC-based food production lines. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining optimal plant performance and leading a dedicated maintenance team to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities related to plant machinery and equipment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues, with a particular emphasis on PLC-controlled food production lines.
- Work closely with production teams to identify and eliminate maintenance-related bottlenecks that affect productivity and output.
- Lead and coordinate the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective response to operational needs.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in plant maintenance within an industrial setting.
- Proven expertise in both mechanical and electrical maintenance disciplines.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of industrial machinery and automation systems, especially in the context of food production environments.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a maintenance team effectively.

Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional certifications in electrical, mechanical, or PLC systems.
- Experience working with specific PLC brands commonly used in food processing equipment is highly desirable.
