We are looking for a skilled and results-oriented Maintenance Manager to join a leading wood manufacturing company in a permanent, onsite capacity. This role offers the chance to lead and optimize maintenance operations, ensuring the reliability and longevity of essential machinery and infrastructure. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining high operational efficiency and fostering continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for all plant machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and extend operational lifespan. Manage vendor relationships, including selection, negotiation, contract administration, and performance monitoring for maintenance services and spare parts procurement. Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing technical support while enforcing strict compliance with safety standards and industry best practices. Diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems, applying effective repair solutions promptly. Administer the maintenance budget to ensure cost-effective operations, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements. Collaborate closely with production and engineering departments to align maintenance activities with operational objectives and support new project rollouts. Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and inventory to facilitate reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (Electronics) is mandatory. Candidates must have at least seven years of progressive experience in maintenance management or supervisory roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated expertise in designing and executing preventive maintenance strategies is essential. Strong practical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems is required. Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation is necessary. The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
