Job Description

Dr. Haris Clothing Brand is seeking a dedicated and skilled Office Cook / Chef to prepare and serve meals. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in cooking, with a strong knowledge of Pakistani cuisine, and the ability to prepare at least one meal (Lunch) and snacks while adhering to dietary preferences and safety standards. This role demands punctuality, professionalism, and a clean working attitude to maintain a hygienic and well-organized kitchen environment. The Office Cook / Chef will not be managing a team but is expected to independently handle all kitchen responsibilities efficiently and responsibly. The Cook / Chef is responsible for menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and safety. This includes managing grocery inventory, preventing food waste, and ensuring all meals meet quality and nutritional standards. They must follow strict food safety and sanitation guidelines, store food items properly, monitor portion sizes to control costs, and keep accurate records of kitchen operations. Continuous improvement of culinary skills and staying updated with cooking trends are also important aspects of this role.


Responsibilities
 

  • Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks according to established menus and dietary preferences.
  • Cook a variety of cuisines, with a focus on Pakistani dishes, ensuring attention to flavor, presentation, and nutritional value.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen utensils, cooking equipment, and work areas.
  • Manage grocery usage efficiently to minimize waste and maintain accurate kitchen inventory.
  • Communicate promptly about kitchen supply needs to avoid interruptions in food preparation.
  • Store food items following food safety standards to preserve freshness and prevent contamination.
  • Follow special dietary instructions carefully, including managing allergies and specific nutritional guidelines.
  • Adhere strictly to food handling and sanitation guidelines to ensure safety at all preparation stages.
  • Monitor and regulate portion sizes to control costs and reduce food waste.
  • Keep accurate records of meal preparations, ingredient usage, and kitchen inventories as required.
  • Continuously update cooking knowledge and skills to incorporate new recipes and preparation techniques.
  • Prepare and serve meals on time, maintaining a well-organized and professional kitchen environment.
  • Maintain kitchen utensils, groceries, and stock properly to support efficient food preparation.
  • Demonstrate a clean and professional working attitude with punctuality and responsibility.
  • Maintain hygiene and discipline in the kitchen at all times.
