Job Description
HugoBank, a leading digital bank in Pakistan backed by an international consortium, is seeking an experienced PMO Head to lead enterprise-wide project governance, execution excellence, and strategic delivery management across the organization. The role will be responsible for managing large-scale, cross-functional, and multi-vendor transformation initiatives spanning digital banking, technology, compliance, risk, operations, and regulatory domains.
The ideal candidate must possess strong expertise in PMO frameworks including PMP, PRINCE2, Agile (Scrum/Kanban), and hybrid delivery models, with a proven track record of successfully delivering enterprise transformation programs within Banking, Digital Banking, Fintech, or Financial Services environments. The PMO Head will establish governance structures, steering committees, reporting frameworks, and execution standards to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Candidates should have 10–15+ years of experience in project/program management, including at least 5+ years in a senior PMO leadership role, along with strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and leadership capabilities. Experience managing complex banking transformation initiatives, digital platforms, compliance-driven programs, and regulated environments will be highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage large-scale transformation programs from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee a team of five project professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and support to achieve project milestones and objectives.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project schedules, resource plans, and budgets while maintaining rigorous control over scope, timelines, and costs.
- Establish and enforce PMO governance frameworks that support disciplined project execution, risk management, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, regulatory bodies, and vendors, to facilitate seamless collaboration and communication.
- Drive effective vendor management practices, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Utilize advanced project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, and ServiceNow PPM to monitor project progress, report status, and manage issues and risks proactively.
- Apply deep knowledge of banking domains such as digital banking, core banking transformation, regulatory reporting, risk, and compliance to ensure projects meet domain-specific requirements.
- Facilitate decision-making processes by analyzing project data, identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending solutions to complex challenges.
- Champion the adoption of project management methodologies including PMP, PRINCE2, Agile frameworks, and hybrid delivery models to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead the formation and operation of governance bodies such as steering committees and portfolio review boards to maintain stakeholder alignment and project transparency.
- Ensure all project activities adhere to rigorous governance standards, audit requirements, and regulatory frameworks to maintain compliance and operational integrity.
- Promote enterprise architecture principles and cybersecurity best practices across projects to support the bank's operational resilience and security posture.
- Continuously improve PMO processes, tools, and practices based on lessons learned and evolving industry standards.
