Job Description

ARAR Group is seeking a detail-oriented Fleet Officer to oversee the coordination and maintenance of its vehicle fleet. The ideal candidate brings at least two years of relevant experience in fleet management and logistics coordination. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and cost efficiency of company vehicles through proper planning, scheduling, and supplier interaction. The Fleet Officer will operate independently, managing daily operations without direct team supervision but collaborating closely with other departments to maintain seamless transport and operational support. The role involves developing and implementing vehicle maintenance programs, controlling costs associated with fleet operations, and managing inventory related to vehicle parts and supplies. The Fleet Officer also maintains strong relationships with suppliers and service providers to secure favorable terms and ensure timely service delivery. A focus on preventive maintenance scheduling is critical to minimize downtime and extend vehicle lifespan while supporting organizational goals related to safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
 

  • Coordinate logistics for vehicle movement and deployment to support organizational needs.
  • Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities to ensure operational readiness of all vehicles.
  • Monitor and control fleet-related costs, including fuel consumption, repairs, and maintenance expenses.
  • Manage inventory for vehicle parts and supplies to prevent shortages and delays in maintenance.
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to negotiate contracts and service agreements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of fleet vehicles to detect issues and recommend repairs.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports related to vehicle usage, maintenance, and costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and safety regulations governing vehicle operation and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize fleet utilization and support business operations effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to improve fleet management processes, introducing innovations or updates as needed.
