Job Description

The Branch Manager at Easypaisa Digital Bank plays a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the performance of branch banking operations within the designated area. This position requires a strong focus on managing day-to-day branch activities, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining compliance with banking regulations. The Branch Manager acts as the administrative head of the branch, coordinating with various internal stakeholders to provide excellent customer service and promote a positive banking experience. This role demands leadership in fostering a culture of risk awareness, security, and adherence to organizational values, while also driving business growth and profitability. The ideal candidate possesses leadership skills combined with financial management expertise and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Problem-solving and customer orientation are essential to managing both client relationships and branch challenges. While this position does not involve managing a team, the Branch Manager remains responsible for supervising and aligning branch staff towards achieving operational goals. A deep understanding of business performance evaluation and product knowledge is necessary to support branch development and maintain its competitive standing in the market.
Responsibilities
 

  • Oversee the smooth functioning of all branch operations, including administration, lending, marketing, training, and security.
  • Serve as the administrative head of the branch, managing all operational activities efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct surprise checks on ATM and vault areas to ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Manage petty cash and execute monthly reconciliation of cash and collateral in line with Bank Operations Manual guidelines.
  • Safeguard critical information such as system IDs and passwords, maintaining stringent security standards.
  • Develop and implement strategic business growth plans to meet and exceed branch targets.
  • Drive loan approvals and expand the branch portfolio to ensure sustainable growth in earning assets.
  • Maintain a balance between loans and deposits, working toward achieving a self-funding branch status.
  • Assume full responsibility for branch profitability and performance as a revenue-generating center.
  • Conduct sales calls and participate actively in business development initiatives and local events.
  • Ensure effective implementation of customer service initiatives and promptly resolve customer complaints.
  • Authorize customer fee waivers where applicable, upholding customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure strict adherence to bank policies, procedures, and compliance mandates to mitigate risks.
  • Promote a robust culture of risk management and regulatory compliance within the branch environment.
  • Monitor staff activities diligently to prevent fraud, corruption, or malpractice and report any irregularities.
  • Ensure security of branch premises, cash holdings, collateral, and record management.
  • Avoid allowing sales or recovery activities to be influenced by unauthorized or activist involvement.
  • Supervise and coordinate with branch staff, ensuring they are well-informed of policy and process updates.
  • Motivate and maintain high performance standards among branch personnel.
  • Oversee recovery and collection efforts to manage and control delinquent accounts within target parameters.
  • Encourage the use of non-cash collection methods and ensure proper management of days past due (DPD) cases.
  • Coordinate regularly with Head Office and Regional Office to report on branch performance and compliance.
  • Share insights concerning market trends, identify business opportunities, and suggest best practices.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the line manager to support branch and organizational goals.
  • Demonstrate and uphold the organizational values of respect, promise-keeping, exploration, and collaboration.
