Technical Product Owner - Clinical Systems

Care1 is seeking a full-time Technical Product Owner – Clinical Systems to join our Pakistan-based team. Candidates must be based in Pakistan. To ensure effective collaboration with our Canadian-based Product, Engineering, and Clinical Operations teams, candidates must have daily working hours that overlap from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific Time (PT), Monday to Friday.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that sits at the intersection of clinical operations, product management, and engineering. You will become a domain expert in Care1’s clinical workflows and software platform, and play a critical role in translating Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) into clear, actionable engineering requirements.

Our platform is complex and workflow-driven, spanning Admin, Clinical Review, and Provider-facing systems. Success in this role requires strong systems thinking, comfort with ambiguity, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity to deeply understand how interconnected system behaviors impact real-world operations.

As part of onboarding, you will spend dedicated time embedded with our Clinical Operations and Admin teams to gain firsthand exposure to clinical workflows. This structured immersion period is designed to accelerate domain mastery and ensure you deeply understand how the system behaves in live operational scenarios. While this is not an administrative role, gaining practical familiarity with day-to-day workflows is essential to building the level of expertise required for long-term success.

You will work closely with the Product Manager, Solution Architect, Engineering team, and Clinical Operations to ensure features on the roadmap are well-defined, correctly implemented, and aligned with our real-world clinical workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Report to our lead Senior Technical Product Owner in a supporting role.
• Become a domain expert in Care1’s software workflows across Admin, Clinical Review, and Provider-facing systems.
• Develop a deep understanding of our clinical operation workflows in the lifecycle of patient eye care.
• Partner closely with Product Management to understand roadmap priorities, feature scope, and business intent defined in PRDs.
• Translate PRDs and clinical workflows into clear, detailed functional and technical requirements for Engineering.
• Work closely with Engineering to ensure requirements are fully captured in technical designs and Jira tickets before development begins.
• Pair directly with the Solution Architect during design discussions to clarify workflows, edge cases, dependencies, and implementation details.
• Act as a requirements gatekeeper, ensuring engineering work aligns with product intent, clinical reality, and operational constraints.
• Proactively identify gaps, ambiguities, and risks in requirements and resolve them before they impact delivery or quality.

Required Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in a Technical Product Owner, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role working closely with engineering teams.
• Demonstrated experience translating product requirements into engineering-ready specifications.
• Strong ability to understand and document complex workflows, ideally in healthcare, clinical, or regulated environments.
• Experience collaborating with product management, engineers, architects, and operations teams in an agile environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clarify ambiguity and drive alignment.
• A detail-oriented, systems-thinking mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Interview Process:

• First Interview (45 minutes) - Experience Review - An opportunity for us to introduce ourselves and provide more context about the role, team, and company. We’ll review your full-time technical product owner experience and learn more about your background.
• Second Interview (45 minutes) - Practical Working Session - A hands-on working session where we’ll assess your ability to translate product requirements and design concepts into clear, structured, and actionable software requirements.
• Third Interview (60 minutes) - Cross-Functional Fit - A discussion with managers and leads from our product and engineering teams. There will be time for you to ask any questions you have for us.

Pay: Up to Rs700,000.00 per month
