Powder Processing and Compacting Machine Operator

Job Description

Cosmix Labs is seeking a skilled Powder Processing and Compacting Machine Operator with at least two years of experience in a production environment, preferably within pharmaceutical, cosmetics, or personal care manufacturing. This role requires expertise in machine setup and calibration, operation of compacting machines, and vigilant process monitoring to ensure product quality. The operator must understand and apply good manufacturing practices, maintain a clean production environment, and accurately complete daily production reports. The position also involves leading a team of three individuals, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to quality and safety standards throughout the production process. The ideal candidate should be proficient in managing various powders, pigments, and colors, demonstrating a strong commitment to maintaining quality standards and meeting production deadlines. The operator works closely with the production team to optimize machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and uphold standard operating procedures. By overseeing both the mechanical and procedural aspects of powder processing and compacting, this role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality products consistently while fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
Responsibilities
 

• Set up and calibrate powder processing and compacting machines to meet production specifications.
• Operate compacting machines efficiently, ensuring consistent product quality and minimizing downtime.
• Monitor production processes continuously, identifying and correcting deviations promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized production environment in compliance with good manufacturing practices.
• Supervise and guide a team of three operators, fostering teamwork and maintaining high productivity levels.
• Follow standard operating procedures rigorously to ensure safety and quality in every stage of production.
• Handle various powders, pigments, and colors with care to prevent contamination and maintain product integrity.
• Complete daily production reports accurately, documenting machine performance, output, and any incidents.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and coordinate with maintenance teams to resolve technical problems swiftly.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards by performing regular quality checks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Train and mentor new team members on machine operation, safety protocols, and production best practices.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain inventory of consumables and notify supervisors when supplies are low to avoid production interruptions.
• Participate in safety audits and contribute to developing a safe work environment for the team.
