Cosmix Labs is seeking a skilled Cosmetic Chemist with a minimum of two years of experience in formulation and production within the cosmetics, skincare, or personal care industry. The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in formulating innovative products, overseeing quality control, and managing multiple projects efficiently. This individual will apply thorough knowledge of core chemicals, ingredients, and industry-standard processes to develop and optimize cosmetic formulations that meet safety, efficacy, and market requirements. They will play a critical role in transitioning formulations from the lab scale to production, ensuring seamless scale-up and adherence to quality standards throughout the production cycle. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
 

• Develop and optimize cosmetic, skincare, and personal care product formulations in alignment with market trends and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct stability testing and analysis to evaluate the performance and shelf life of developed products.
• Manage multiple formulation projects simultaneously, ensuring rapid prototype development and adherence to timelines.
• Oversee the scale-up process from small batch development to full production, coordinating production tasks to maintain product quality and consistency.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures to guarantee that all products meet established standards and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and regulatory departments, to ensure smooth product development and launch.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, raw materials, and industry advancements to continuously improve product offerings.
• Document formulation processes, test results, and production records accurately to support quality assurance and regulatory submissions.
• Troubleshoot formulation and production challenges promptly to minimize downtime and maintain product integrity.
• Comply with all safety and environmental regulations during formulation, testing, and production activities.
