Position Overview

The Electrical Engineer Intern will assist in the execution, supervision, and coordination of on-site engineering activities related to solar power projects. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, the role provides hands-on experience in solar PV system installation, commissioning, and project management. This is an entry-level position designed to develop technical skills, field knowledge, and safety practices in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily site activities including civil, mechanical, and electrical works under supervision.
• Assist in checking that work is carried out according to approved drawings, design specifications, and timelines.
• Observe and assist in supervising subcontractors and site labor for quality and compliance.
• Learn and participate in the installation and commissioning of solar panels, inverters, and electrical systems (AC/DC).
• Help identify and report technical issues or deviations to senior site engineers.
• Assist with quality control checks and learn how to conduct site inspections.
• Maintain basic documentation including daily reports, photos, and site logs.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and actively participate in safety drills and tool-box talks.
• Support the preparation of reports, material tracking, and progress updates.
• Attend site meetings, trainings, and learn how to liaise with other departments such as design and procurement.
• Gain exposure to client and vendor coordination under supervision.
• Learn and assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and project handover documents.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or related field.
• Up to 1 year of experience (including internships) in solar or electrical projects preferred.
• Basic understanding of solar PV systems and electrical installation practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Rs40,000.00 per month
