ASTO Life Sciences is seeking a skilled Biomedical Engineer with at least three years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, calibrating, and maintaining medical equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role requires a deep understanding of electronics and medical devices, strong troubleshooting abilities, and effective communication skills to collaborate efficiently with healthcare professionals. The Biomedical Engineer will play a vital role in supporting the functionality and reliability of critical medical equipment used in patient care. This position does not involve managing a team but focuses on delivering expert repair and maintenance services. The Biomedical Engineer will conduct preventive maintenance and quality checks to minimize equipment downtime while adhering to healthcare regulations. The role also requires basic IT and networking knowledge to handle modern equipment that integrates advanced technology. Responsibilities
 

  • Install, calibrate, and configure a wide range of medical equipment in healthcare settings.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance and quality assurance checks on biomedical devices to ensure they function correctly and safely.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faulty medical equipment through systematic testing and analysis.
  • Repair and replace malfunctioning components in biomedical devices to restore their operational condition.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and calibration data to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all medical equipment complies with healthcare safety and regulatory standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to understand equipment requirements and usage challenges.
  • Stay current with advancements in biomedical technology and medical equipment to provide informed recommendations.
  • Assist in the installation and integration of new biomedical equipment, ensuring compatibility and connectivity with healthcare IT systems.
  • Provide training and support to healthcare staff on the proper use and basic troubleshooting of medical equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements based on technological advances and safety improvements.
  • Support hospital and clinic compliance audits by providing necessary documentation and technical information related to biomedical devices.
  • Utilize basic IT and networking skills to troubleshoot connectivity issues with networked medical equipment.
