Backend Engineer (Laravel) – SaaS & Payments

We are hiring a Backend Engineer to work on PayOn, a cloud-based SaaS platform for restaurants, hotels, and cafés.

The platform handles orders, payments, and daily business operations, so we are looking for someone who can build reliable and scalable backend systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services using Laravel

Build and manage REST APIs for web and mobile applications

Improve and refactor existing backend systems

Work on payment-related features and integrations

Ensure system reliability, performance, and security

Optimize database queries and backend performance

Troubleshoot and fix production issues

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in Laravel development

Strong experience with API development

Good understanding of databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)

Experience working on production-level applications

Familiarity with backend best practices and clean code

Basic understanding of handling complex data and workflows

Nice to Have

Experience with payment systems or integrations

Experience with SaaS or multi-tenant applications

Familiarity with caching, queues, or real-time systems

Experience with deployment and server management

Remote position

Timings: 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM

Working Days: Monday – Friday (Saturday & Sunday off)

Salary: PKR 100,000 – 180,000

Probation Period

1-month probation period

Performance will be evaluated based on technical skills and understanding
