Senior Manager - Treasury

In addition to executing treasury strategies, the Senior Manager leads and develops a team of five treasury professionals. This role requires excellent leadership and people management skills to build a motivated, productive, and collaborative work environment. The position demands proficiency in treasury systems and advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and generate accurate reports. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage complex treasury functions, deliver detailed forecasting and budgeting, and coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless treasury operations. With at least three years of relevant experience in treasury or financial management, the Senior Manager plays a critical role in supporting EFU Life Assurance Ltd.s overall business operations and long-term financial health.
Responsibilities
 

• Lead and manage the treasury team of five professionals, providing direction, coaching, and performance management to achieve department goals.
• Oversee daily cash flow management activities to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and investment opportunities.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize financial risks, including market, credit, and liquidity risks.
• Prepare accurate cash flow forecasts and budgets to support financial planning and control processes.
• Operate and optimize treasury management systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
• Maintain strong and effective banking relationships to negotiate terms, obtain banking services, and resolve issues promptly.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and reporting in compliance with IFRS standards and corporate policies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper cash management, funding, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external partners such as banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure transparent and compliant treasury operations.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership for cash optimization and financial risk mitigation.
• Use advanced Excel and other treasury tools to analyze data trends, prepare reports, and support decision-making processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within treasury processes and systems to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Ensure all treasury activities align with the companys business objectives and contribute to its financial stability.
