Job Description

EFU Life Assurance Ltd. seeks an Assistant Manager - Fund Management to play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing diverse investment portfolios. This position requires a strong foundation in investment analysis, financial modeling, market research, and financial statement analysis to evaluate fund performance effectively and contribute to informed, strategic investment decisions. The role demands meticulous attention to risk management and thorough understanding of regulatory guidelines to ensure portfolios are compliant and aligned with company objectives. Although the role does not involve direct team management, the Assistant Manager collaborates closely with senior investment leadership and multiple stakeholders. This collaboration supports robust portfolio oversight and enforces compliance across all fund activities. The position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with at least two years of relevant experience to advance their expertise in portfolio management within a reputable financial assurance organization.
Responsibilities
 

  • Analyze and monitor investment portfolios to assess performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Conduct thorough investment research including market trends, financial news, and sector performance to support portfolio decisions.
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models and forecasts to evaluate potential investments and assess risks.
  • Perform comprehensive financial statement analysis to understand the financial health and prospects of portfolio companies.
  • Ensure all investment activities comply with relevant regulatory frameworks, internal policies, and industry standards.
  • Manage risk assessment processes to identify, measure, and mitigate financial and operational risks within the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with senior investment leaders and stakeholders to align fund management activities with the company's strategic goals.
  • Prepare detailed reports on fund performance and present findings to investment committees and management.
  • Support the optimization of asset allocation strategies to maximize returns while maintaining risk tolerance levels.
  • Stay up to date with changes in investment regulations, market developments, and emerging investment opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of investment proposals and documentation for approval processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of portfolio transactions, compliance checks, and investment research to ensure transparency and audit readiness.
