We are currently hiring a Virtual Scribe—a real-time documentation support role responsible for capturing patient encounters, maintaining accurate clinical records, and enabling providers to focus fully on patient care.
Role Overview
The Virtual Scribe works alongside healthcare providers to ensure that clinical documentation is accurate, complete, and structured in real time.
This role sits at the intersection of listening, documentation, and execution—translating live or recorded patient interactions into structured medical records within the EHR.
You will document encounters, format clinical notes, and support provider workflows by ensuring that all relevant information is properly captured, organized, and ready for review.
What You’ll Be Doing
Real-Time Clinical Documentation
- Document provider–patient interactions in real time, capturing histories, exam findings, assessments, and treatment plans
- Structure notes using standard formats (SOAP, HPI, ROS, A&P)
- Apply correct medical terminology and abbreviations for clarity and accuracy
EHR & Chart Management
- Enter and update clinical data including medications, allergies, and past medical history
- Preload charts by reviewing prior documentation and summarizing relevant information
- Attach supporting records such as labs, referrals, or external documentation
Provider-Directed Documentation & Order Entry
- Transcribe provider dictation into structured notes and actionable items
- Enter provider-directed orders such as labs, imaging, referrals, and prescriptions for final sign-off
- Ensure all documentation aligns with provider expectations and clinical workflows
Workflow & Inbox Support
- Assist in resolving documentation-related inbox tasks
- Update visit notes and flag incomplete or pending items
- Support timely chart completion and reduce provider administrative burden
What We’re Looking For
Core Skills
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical documentation structure
- Ability to document in real time with speed and accuracy
- Comfortable working within EHR systems and clinical workflows
- Familiarity with SOAP note structure and encounter documentation formats
- Awareness of HIPAA and data confidentiality standards

- Fast and precise in typing and documentation

- Reliable and consistent in maintaining documentation quality

Baseline Requirements (All Roles)
- Comfortable with digital tools (EHR/CRM and documentation systems)
- Proficient in Google Workspace / Microsoft Office
- Familiar with communication tools (Slack, Zoom, Teams)
- Able to manage tasks using structured workflows or trackers
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
These baseline competencies are standardized across all roles to ensure consistent performance and workflow reliability.
Working Hours
- Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (EST) | Monday - Friday
- Work Setup: Fully Remote
Additional Notes
- Prior experience in medical scribing, transcription, or clinical documentation is a plus, not mandatory
- Training and structured onboarding will be provided
- This is a high-precision, process-driven role requiring strong focus, speed, and accuracy in documentation
