Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Fertility-Prior Authorization Specialist. The specialist will be responsible for managing prior authorization requests, verifying patient insurance coverage, and ensuring timely approval of required treatments or services. Daily tasks include liaising with insurance providers, maintaining accurate documentation, assisting patients with authorization inquiries, and working closely with clinical staff to address authorization needs. The position demands a detail-oriented and proactive approach to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with prior authorization processes, insurance verification, and patient eligibility checks
• Strong knowledge of healthcare industry protocols, including HIPAA compliance and familiarity with medical coding
• Proficiency in healthcare technology, including electronic health records (EHR) and insurance submission platforms
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with fertility treatments or women’s health is an advantage
• At least a high school diploma or GED; additional certifications in medical billing, coding, or related fields are a plus
