This role requires a proactive individual who can understand technical product specifications, effectively communicate value propositions to customers, and support the company's growth by expanding its industrial sales portfolio. The Technical Sales Engineer works independently and is not responsible for managing a team. The successful candidate applies their technical knowledge to identify customer needs and propose tailored solutions involving color masterbatch and other polymer-based products. They collaborate closely with clients to build lasting relationships and consistently use CRM tools to track sales activities and progress. This position emphasizes a combination of technical understanding and sales expertise to achieve business objectives and develop new customer accounts within a competitive industrial market.

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential customers and generate new business leads within the industrial products sector.
  • Understand and explain technical aspects of injection molding, polymers, plastics, and color masterbatch products to customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to support sales growth.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations tailored to meet client requirements and technical needs.
  • Collaborate with production and R&D teams to ensure customer specifications are met and resolve any product-related issues.
  • Use CRM tools to track sales activities, update customer information, and analyze sales data.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve profitable sales agreements.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts to inform management of sales progress and market feedback.
  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to promote products and expand the customer base.
  • Provide after-sales support and technical assistance to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Work independently to manage the sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals without team supervision.
