We are looking for a hands-on DCS Engineer – BOPET Film Line to manage and maintain the Distributed Control System, ensuring reliable plant operations, minimizing production downtime, and optimizing process automation. The ideal candidate will support smooth production by performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting automation and control system issues, and driving continuous improvements in system performance and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities – DCS Engineer (Film Line)

• Operate, monitor, and maintain the Distributed Control System to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve DCS and instrumentation-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Configure, modify, and optimize control logic, HMI screens, and process parameters.
• Monitor and calibrate field instruments such as temperature, pressure, flow, level, and thickness sensors.
• Support production during startups, shutdowns, and product changeovers.
• Maintain communication between DCS, PLCs, VFDs, and other automation systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation and control equipment.
• Analyze process trends and implement automation improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.
• Maintain system backups, technical documentation, and change records.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, control system integrity, and company procedures.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, and OEM vendors for troubleshooting, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and operational efficiency

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• 4–5 years of experience in DCS/PLC automation and process control, preferably in a BOPET film line, plastics, packaging, or continuous process industry.
• Hands-on experience with DCS, HMI and process control.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in automation, control systems, and industrial communication networks.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance, system optimization, and minimizing production downtime.
• Familiarity with SAP PM.
• Good understanding of maintenance KPIs such as MTBF and equipment reliability.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
