CT Scan Technician

We are looking for a skilled CT Scan Technician to join our medical imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing CT scan procedures accurately and safely, ensuring patient comfort while strictly following established protocols. This role involves operating CT equipment efficiently, administering contrast media when necessary, and maintaining radiation safety standards. The technician will also monitor patients, maintain equipment, document procedures accurately, and collaborate closely with radiologists during specialized imaging tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scan procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients correctly to obtain high-quality CT images.
- Clearly explain procedures to patients to ensure their comfort and cooperation throughout the process.
- Operate CT scan machines safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Administer contrast media when required, following strict safety protocols.
- Apply ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles to ensure radiation safety.
- Monitor patients during and after procedures for any adverse reactions or complications.
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure proper functioning of CT equipment at all times.
- Report any equipment malfunctions promptly to the appropriate department for timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging data in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Follow hospital policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and infection control guidelines rigorously.
- Assist radiologists during special CT procedures as needed to facilitate accurate diagnosis.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or Medical Imaging.
- Valid registration or license as required by the relevant regulatory authority.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a CT Scan Technologist.
- Experience in a hospital or diagnostic center setting is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Certification in CT scanning is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging techniques and radiation safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle patients professionally and with care.
- Willingness and ability to work rotational shifts, including night shifts.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in performing procedures and maintaining records.
- A team-oriented mindset with a professional attitude and a commitment to delivering quality patient care.
