Function

Reporting Structure
Reports To: Head of Technical Delivery.
Direct Reports: None.
Working Hours: Nine (9) hours daily, including a one-hour break; shift timing 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM (PKT) for US Overlap.
Job Overview
The AI Delivery Operations Lead owns and runs Al Rafay Consulting's (ARC) new AI-enabled software delivery framework and makes it work in daily practice across project teams. The framework combines AI agents for Git governance, timesheet review, and project and delivery automation with clear repository guardrails and GitHub-based project management, with humans approving the decisions that matter.
The role operates the framework, enforces it, improves it, and surfaces the people and habit problems that automation cannot fix. Its purpose is to give leadership live visibility into delivery, so that the framework runs without leadership having to chase it.
ARC operates primarily within the Microsoft engineering ecosystem as a Microsoft Solutions Partner. The role works across GitHub, GitHub Copilot, Claude, MCP integrations, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint, and coordinates closely with IT and the engineering leads.
This is a hands-on operations role, not a coordination or reporting role. The AI Delivery Operations Lead must work credibly with developers and senior engineers on repositories, pull requests, and automation, and hold them to agreed process with firmness and without creating friction.
Primary Operations Bar - Read Before Applying
This position requires hands-on ownership of delivery operations, not general project coordination or administrative support. A candidate meets the bar only if they can speak to real, hands-on experience (not observer or support-level involvement) in all of the following:
· Day-to-day management of software delivery on GitHub: Projects, issues, pull requests, branch protection, Actions, and repository permissions.
· Working with AI assistants or agents (such as Claude or GitHub Copilot) in a delivery or engineering setting, including reviewing AI output critically rather than accepting it as is.
· Building simple automations with scripting or low-code tools such as Python, GitHub Actions, or Power Automate.
· Running Agile delivery across the software development lifecycle, with accountability for contributors following agreed process.
Success Milestones
First 90 Days
- The framework is running on a pilot project, with guardrails documented and agreed.
- Guardrails are enforced on at least one live repository.
- The daily timesheet exception report is produced and worked every morning.
- The first training sessions have been delivered.
First 12 Months
- Active projects have moved into the framework through a controlled transition.
- Status meetings built around manual board reviews are replaced by live GitHub visibility.
- Code review, security scanning, and timesheet checks run consistently, with humans approving the decisions that matter.
- The operating process is documented well enough that another person could run it.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Framework Operations
Day-to-Day Framework Management
- Run the delivery framework day to day, managing GitHub Projects, issues, pull requests, sprint boards, and assignments so work stays visible without long status meetings.
- Keep boards, workflows, and assignments consistent across projects so delivery status can be read live from GitHub.
Daily Exception Management
- Review the daily exception reports, including the timesheet exception report, every morning.
- Follow up with contributors, close resolved flags, and escalate items that stay open.
AI Agent Operations & Integrations
AI Agent Oversight
- Oversee the Git governance agent, the timesheet review agent, and delivery automations.
- Review agent output, tune rules, and cut false positives so that flags stay accurate and actionable.
Integrations & Access
- Own the framework's integrations, coordinating GitHub MCP, GitHub Copilot and Claude access, and SharePoint connections with IT and the engineering leads.
Guardrails & AI Governance
Repository Guardrails
- Enforce branch policies, pull request rules, security scanning, and human approval gates across repositories.
- Ensure code review, security scanning, and timesheet checks run consistently, with humans approving the decisions that matter.
AI Governance
- Help define and monitor the rules for approved AI tools, licensing, and usage.
People, Process & Enablement
Behaviour & Process Breaches
- Identify habits and process breaches that automation cannot correct.
- Escalate them to leadership with supporting evidence.
Training & Coaching
- Run enablement sessions for developers, project coordinators, and delivery staff on GitHub Projects, MCP, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Coach individual contributors on recurring gaps in framework adoption.
Framework Rollout & Continuous Improvement
Pilot & Controlled Rollout
- Test framework changes on pilot projects before wider rollout.
- Bring active projects into the framework through a controlled transition.
Documentation & Playbooks
- Document guardrails, playbooks, and the operating process well enough that another person could run the framework.
Leadership Reporting
Adoption & Delivery Health Reporting
- Give leadership a regular view of framework adoption, exceptions, delivery health, and open risks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in software delivery, engineering operations, DevOps, or technical project management.
- Hands-on GitHub experience: Projects, pull requests, branch protection, Actions, and repository permissions.
- Working knowledge of AI assistants and agents (Claude, GitHub Copilot), including prompting, critical review of AI output, and the basics of MCP.
- Ability to build simple automations with scripting or low-code tools such as Python, GitHub Actions, or Power Automate.
- Solid grounding in Agile delivery and the software development lifecycle.
- Comfort working with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint as data sources.
- Background in IT services or consulting, with multiple client projects running in parallel, is an advantage.
- Experience designing or running AI agent workflows in a business setting is an advantage.
- Experience running training or enablement programs for technical teams is an advantage.
Preferred Certifications
- Agile or project management certification such as Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or PMP; GitHub certifications (GitHub Foundations, GitHub Actions, or GitHub Advanced Security) (preferred).
Required Technical Expertise
GitHub & Delivery Tooling
- GitHub Projects, Issues, Pull Requests, Branch Protection, GitHub Actions, Repository Permissions; GitHub Advanced Security or other code and secret scanning tools (advantageous).
AI Assistants, Agents & Integrations
- Claude, GitHub Copilot, Model Context Protocol (MCP), Prompting, Critical Review of AI Output; AI agent workflow design (advantageous).
Automation & Scripting
- Python, GitHub Actions workflows, Power Automate or similar low-code tools.
Microsoft Ecosystem
- Microsoft 365, SharePoint (as a data source); Azure and Microsoft Entra ID (advantageous).
Delivery Methods
- Agile/Scrum, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Sprint & Board Management, Process Documentation & Playbooks.
Key Competencies
- Firmness to hold senior engineers to agreed process without creating friction.
- Strong written and verbal communication with developers, project coordinators, and leadership.
- Sound judgement on confidentiality when handling client code, timesheets, and team data.
- Evidence-based escalation: raises issues with facts, not opinions.
- Strong ownership and follow-through, with a test-before-scaling, continuous-improvement mindset.
Pay: Rs250,000.00 - Rs350,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
