Account Officer

Usk International seeks a dedicated Account Officer to manage and support the companys accounting activities. This role is ideal for fresh graduates with strong accounting knowledge or candidates with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. The Account Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The position does not include team management responsibilities but requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently within the finance department. The ideal candidate possesses proficiency in accounting software such as Peachtree or similar platforms to efficiently handle day-to-day accounting tasks. Additionally, having an accounting-related certificate is preferred but not mandatory. The role demands consistent collaboration with internal departments to gather financial information and support audits while maintaining confidentiality and integrity in processing financial data.
Responsibilities
 

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording all accounting transactions using appropriate software.
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring all entries are properly documented and authorized.
• Reconcile bank statements and promptly investigate any discrepancies to ensure accurate reporting of cash flow.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
• Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions by monitoring outstanding payments and managing vendor accounts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to collect and verify financial data required for audits and compliance checks.
• Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and legal regulations.
• Prepare journal entries and assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Provide support during financial audits by supplying documentation and explanations on financial records as required.
• Continuously update knowledge on accounting regulations, software updates, and best practices to enhance job performance.
