Freelance Project | Remote | Ongoing Basis

Experience: 3+ years in structural design, preferably with steel chassis-based, modular, relocatable, or transportable building systems

Working Hours: 4–5 hours/day, Monday to Saturday

Salary: PKR 50,000/month

Degree: BS Civil Engineering

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and document steel chassis structures, including chassis layout, support points, and foundation interface
• Detail structural connections: hinges, deployment/locking mechanisms, and connections between centre and expandable sections
• Calculate and document bracing, tie-down requirements, and load paths through the chassis and expandable sections
• Prepare structural drawings: foundation plan, framing plan, structural details, and connection schedules
• Apply relevant AS/NZS structural standards (AS 1170 loads/wind, AS 4100 steel, AS 1684 timber where applicable)
• Coordinate with the building designer/drafter to ensure structural details align with architectural documentation
• Prepare drawings in a format ready for review/certification by a registered engineer where required

Required Software:

• AutoCAD
• Revit (Structure)
• STAAD.Pro / ETABS (or equivalent structural analysis software)
• Tekla Structures (steel detailing, preferred)
• Navisworks (for coordination, preferred)
