Role Overview
The Sourcing Manager will serve as the commercial engine behind Maha Group's textile procurement activities. This is a high-ownership role that combines deep textile expertise with commercial acumen, vendor relationship management, and cross-border supply chain coordination.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience navigating Pakistan's textile industry while also being comfortable engaging with suppliers and across China, Vietnam, Turkey, and beyond. You will be expected to hit the ground running, managing existing supplier relationships while actively developing new ones.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
712 years of progressive experience in textile sourcing, merchandising, or supply chain, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
Deep knowledge of the Pakistani textile industry spinning, weaving, dyeing & finishing, and home textiles.
Strong commercial negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to close complex supplier agreements.
Hands-on experience with international trade documentation, Incoterms, and LC-based payment mechanisms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel for cost modelling, Word, PowerPoint).
Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Development
Develop and execute a robust sourcing strategy aligned with client requirements and Maha Group's commercial targets.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers across the textile value chain yarn, greige fabric, processed fabric and home textiles
Maintain and deepen relationships with existing supplier networks across Pakistan, China, Vietnam, and Turkey.

Commercial Negotiation & Pricing
Lead price negotiations with suppliers to achieve competitive landed costs without compromising on quality or delivery.
Negotiate payment terms, credit lines, and contractual frameworks with suppliers.
Analyse total cost including freight, duties, currency risk, and lead time to deliver best-value sourcing decisions.
Order Management & Supply Chain Execution
Oversee the end-to-end order lifecycle from inquiry and sampling to production, quality inspection, and shipment.
Monitor production timelines, proactively identify delays, and communicate updates to clients and internal teams.
Manage sampling processes and approval workflows in coordination with client technical teams.
Ensure accurate documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
Track global and regional textile commodity trends (cotton, polyester, viscose) and translate them into actionable sourcing insights.
Prepare periodic sourcing performance reports for senior management covering cost savings, lead times, vendor scorecards, and risk flags.
Monitor competitor sourcing activity and emerging supply chain disruptions (geo-political, weather, currency).
Support business development by providing sourcing feasibility assessments for new product categories or geographies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with the business development and client servicing teams to translate client briefs into actionable sourcing plans.
Liaise with finance on payment schedules, LC documentation, and foreign exchange management.
Collaborate with logistics on incoterms selection, shipping mode optimization, and warehouse coordination.
