Senior Software Developer (WinForms)

This opportunity is within the Jonas Software division, a recognized leader in enterprise management solutions across 17 vertical industries. Jonas Club ERP, a key product in this division, serves over 2,200 clubs in more than 17 countries, helping them improve member engagement, increase revenue, and reduce costs. The role focuses on .NET development for core ERP modules built on WinForms and VB.NET, with potential involvement in web development and database design. The successful candidate will be based in the Karachi office, joining the global R&D team supporting Jonas Club ERP.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain core ERP modules using .NET technologies, primarily WinForms and VB.NET.
- Design and program databases, including writing complex queries and optimizing stored procedures.
- Apply software development patterns and best practices to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and independently manage multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with North American colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Adapt to evolving technology requirements, including potential web development tasks.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing WinForms applications using .NET (VB.NET and/or C#).
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, software design principles, and architecture.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including query writing, stored procedure design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with third-party UI components such as Infragistics or similar frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with multithreaded and asynchronous programming.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Familiarity with LINQ, WCF, and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience using Git for version control and Jira or similar tools for issue tracking.
- Prior involvement in designing, creating, and consuming REST or SOAP APIs.
- Exposure to web development technologies such as ASP.NET and modern web frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
