EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Officer - Corporate Benefits Actuarial to support key actuarial functions related to corporate benefits products. This role involves developing and maintaining actuarial models, conducting rigorous statistical data analysis, and supporting pricing and valuation processes. The position requires meticulous attention to detail and effective communication skills to collaborate with multiple teams and contribute to informed business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a background in actuarial sciences or a related discipline, with up to one year of relevant experience, and a strong aptitude for problem-solving and data analysis. This role is designed for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys handling complex financial and statistical data. The Senior Officer will be responsible for managing actuarial data, ensuring the integrity of databases, and generating precise reports. While this position does not involve team management responsibilities, it offers an excellent opportunity to develop professional skills within a well-established insurance firm and contribute directly to the business’s actuarial and financial objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support actuarial models for forecasting and financial analysis related to corporate benefits products.
  • Perform detailed statistical data analysis to assist in accurate pricing and valuation of insurance products.
  • Manage and maintain actuarial data, ensuring completeness and accuracy within databases and information systems.
  • Prepare and generate reports to communicate key findings and support business decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including underwriting, finance, and product management to meet ongoing actuarial requirements.
  • Apply advanced Microsoft Excel skills to manipulate data sets, perform calculations, and create models.
  • Analyze complex financial and statistical information to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Assist in developing pricing strategies and contribute to the product development lifecycle by providing actuarial insights.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies related to actuarial functions.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to non-actuarial stakeholders to facilitate understanding and decision-making.
  • Continuously improve actuarial processes and methodologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain professional knowledge by participating in relevant training and development activities.

 

We are looking for someone who:
• Holds a BBA, BS in Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Has 0–1 year of relevant experience (fresh candidates are encouraged to apply).
• Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Has excellent communication, coordination, and time management skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
