Chughtai Healthcare is seeking an experienced Consultant Radiologist to join our dedicated medical team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in interpreting diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and ultrasound, to support accurate and timely patient diagnoses. This position involves close collaboration with referring physicians and medical staff to ensure effective patient care. The Consultant Radiologist must demonstrate strong analytical abilities and a commitment to maintaining high standards for quality assurance and radiation safety protocols within a busy healthcare environment. While this role does not involve managing a team, the incumbent is expected to provide guidance and supervision to radiology technicians and support staff when necessary to ensure smooth departmental operations. The ideal candidate will hold an MBBS degree with specialized qualifications such as FCPS, FRCR, MCPS, or equivalent in Radiology, accompanied by a valid PMDC/PMC license. A minimum of three years of relevant experience is essential to meet the demands of this role. Expertise in a wide variety of medical imaging software and technologies, including Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and ultrasound image analysis, is critical. Strong communication skills are required to facilitate effective clinical discussions and to deliver clear, concise radiology reports that contribute to optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
 

  • Interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and ultrasound to provide accurate and timely diagnostic evaluations.
  • Prepare detailed and reliable radiology reports that assist referring physicians in formulating patient treatment plans.
  • Collaborate directly with clinicians and healthcare professionals to discuss imaging findings and support patient diagnosis.
  • Ensure adherence to radiation safety and protection standards to safeguard patients and staff within diagnostic imaging areas.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to radiology technicians and support staff to ensure adherence to protocols and maintenance of high service standards.
  • Maintain compliance with quality assurance programs, departmental policies, and local regulatory requirements to ensure consistent imaging quality and patient safety.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, case discussions, and clinical audits to support continuous service improvement and professional development.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Operate and optimize the use of medical imaging software and systems such as PACS, RIS, and DICOM to manage, process, and store imaging data efficiently.
  • Utilize advanced ultrasound machine operation and Doppler ultrasound techniques to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
  • Apply specialized medical image processing techniques to refine image quality and interpretation accuracy.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in radiology and medical imaging technology to continually improve diagnostic services.
