R&D & International Business Specialist

Job Description

SAMA ENGINEERING is looking for a proactive and analytical R&D & International Business Specialist to support product innovation, international business development, and global expansion initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have experience in research & development, market analysis, international trade, and product improvement within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market and competitor research to identify new business opportunities in local and international markets
• Support R&D projects related to packaging and processing machinery
• Perform feasibility studies, product testing, and process improvement activities
• Research new technologies, materials, and industry trends to enhance product performance
• Assist in import/export documentation and international business compliance
• Explore international company registration, business structures, and market entry requirements
• Develop technical reports, presentations, and project documentation
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams
• Support management in evaluating global partnerships and expansion opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience in R&D, International Business, Import/Export, or Product Development
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of international trade procedures and business regulations
• Excellent documentation and report-writing skills
• Proficiency in MS Office; ERP experience will be an advantage
• Strong communication and coordination abilities

Preferred Skills

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or packaging industry
• Understanding of supply chain processes and product development
• Familiarity with international business compliance and market research
• Exposure to machinery, automation, or industrial products will be a plus
