About the job

Role Description

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.

• Supervise shop floor operations and coordinate with machine operators and line supervisors.

• Ensure adherence to SOPs, production standards, and quality requirements.

• Monitor machine performance, identify downtime causes, and coordinate with Maintenance for timely resolution.

• Monitor raw material and consumable usage and coordinate with Stores/Inventory for timely availability.

• Prepare and maintain daily production reports, MIS data, and production logs.

• Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and support EHS (Environment, Health amp; Safety) practices.

• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Planning departments to resolve production bottlenecks.

• Assist in root cause analysis of production defects/rejections and support corrective and preventive actions.

Qualifications

• BE in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in Production/Manufacturing, preferably in the automotive industry.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machining, or assembly operations.

• Basic knowledge of quality tools such as 7 QC Tools, Kaizen, and 5S, along with Lean Manufacturing principles.

• Good analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and production reporting/ERP tools.

• Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work in shifts and manage/coordinate shop floor teams.
