Packaging Procurement Officer

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Procurement Officer with strong knowledge of food-grade packaging materials and procurement processes. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing packaging materials required for bakery operations while ensuring quality standards, timely availability, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate should possess strong vendor management and negotiation skills with practical knowledge of food packaging requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement of food-grade packaging materials required for bakery operations including cake boxes, pastry boxes, PET containers, plastic disposable items, food trays, paper bags, labels, food wraps, corrugated cartons, and delivery packaging materials.
• Ensure timely availability of packaging materials while maintaining quality standards and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to fulfill operational requirements and maintain smooth operational flow.
• Evaluate packaging quality, negotiate with vendors, and identify cost-effective sourcing opportunities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Maintain procurement records, quotations, purchase orders, and vendor databases.
• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for quality improvement and cost reduction.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in packaging procurement, preferably in bakery, food manufacturing, FMCG, plastic packaging, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of food-grade packaging materials and packaging standards.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in bakery, confectionery, food manufacturing, plastic packaging, or FMCG industry will be preferred.
