Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DBA)

We are looking for a skilled Oracle DBA to manage and support Oracle FLEXCUBE On-Premise banking applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for comprehensive database administration tasks including performance tuning, backup and recovery, security management, and ensuring high availability of the database systems. This role demands hands-on experience with Oracle databases in a banking environment, with a focus on maintaining optimal system performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer Oracle databases that support FLEXCUBE environments, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Monitor database performance and availability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity.
- Manage database patching, upgrades, and migrations to keep systems up to date.
- Tune SQL queries and optimize database performance for enhanced efficiency.
- Implement and maintain Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) and Data Guard environments to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents and production issues promptly.
- Monitor storage utilization and conduct capacity planning to support future growth.
- Enforce database security policies and manage user access controls.
- Support release and deployment activities related to database changes.
- Conduct root cause analysis and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Required Qualifications

- 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in Oracle Database Administration, specifically with versions 11g, 12c, and 19c.
- Strong expertise in Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard technologies.
- Proficient in RMAN backup and recovery processes.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL programming for database management and performance tuning.
- Experience in database monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix administration as it relates to Oracle database environments.
- Skilled in database security management and user administration.

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications

- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for database monitoring and management.
- Ability to write and maintain shell scripts to automate routine tasks.
- Knowledge of Oracle Exadata infrastructure and architecture.
- Understanding of FLEXCUBE database architecture is highly desirable.
- Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) DBA, Oracle RAC/Data Guard certifications, and ITIL Foundation Certification are preferred.
