Mechanical Design Engineer

Mtms Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Karachi-based team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Computer Aided Design (CAD) to develop and improve mechanical components, systems, and products. This role involves transforming conceptual ideas into detailed designs, ensuring functionality, durability, and manufacturability within project timelines. The Mechanical Design Engineer plays a vital part in problem-solving and optimizing mechanical systems to support company objectives. This position does not require team management but demands close collaboration with cross-functional groups including manufacturing and quality assurance to successfully deliver projects.
Responsibilities
 

• Create detailed mechanical designs and drawings using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Develop prototypes and conduct design analysis to ensure mechanical components meet performance, safety, and durability requirements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility, addressing potential production challenges and incorporating feedback to optimize designs.
• Support product development by assisting in material selection, component testing, and failure analysis for continuous improvement.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce accurate models that align with client and regulatory requirements.
• Review and revise designs to enhance functionality, reduce costs, and increase efficiency in line with project goals.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to coordinate design activities and ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.
• Maintain documentation and records of design revisions, project changes, and technical reports in compliance with company policies.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to integrate innovative solutions into mechanical designs.
• Ensure all mechanical design activities adhere to occupational safety and environmental regulations and company standards.
