The Lead Maintenance Manager at Agay Barho plays a critical role in overseeing and enhancing maintenance operations across multiple fuel station sites. This position requires strong leadership skills to manage a team of 10 individuals, including field teams and Regional Operations Managers, ensuring the highest standards in health, safety, security, and environmental compliance. The successful candidate develops and implements effective Planned Preventive Maintenance strategies and asset lifecycle plans that maximize equipment reliability and operational efficiency. Maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders is essential to drive continuous improvements and operational excellence. The role demands deep expertise in Mechanical Preventive Maintenance and asset management, paired with a solid grasp of financial governance to oversee budgeting, contract management, and cost control. The Lead Maintenance Manager uses advanced Computerized Maintenance Management Systems like Maximo to track maintenance data and optimize workflows. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities or fuel station maintenance, particularly in the petroleum sector, combined with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering. Strong analytical capabilities, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and excellent communication skills in English are essential to succeed in this dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
 

  • Lead and manage all maintenance operations across multiple fuel station sites, ensuring efficient service delivery and compliance with company standards.
  • Develop and execute Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) strategies and comprehensive asset lifecycle plans to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Supervise and coordinate a team of 10 personnel, including field teams and Regional Operations Managers, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) standards by promoting proactive safety practices and conducting regular audits.
  • Conduct detailed Asset Condition Surveys to assess equipment status and recommend timely repair or replacement strategies to optimize asset performance.
  • Manage supplier accreditation processes, oversee contract administration, and monitor vendor performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness of maintenance services.
  • Monitor and control maintenance budgets, carefully comparing expenditure against planned spend while ensuring adherence to delegated financial authorities and approvals.
  • Validate contractor invoices and maintain transparency in financial processes, effectively controlling costs without compromising service standards.
  • Support investigation of incidents related to maintenance activities and maintain corrective action tracking to prevent recurrence and improve safety outcomes.
  • Coordinate Multi-Year Planning (MYP) initiatives, including asset replacement scheduling and capital planning to align with long-term operational goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records within Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maximo to facilitate data-driven decision making.
  • Engage with clients and internal stakeholders regularly to review operational performance, address concerns, and implement improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing overall maintenance effectiveness.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, provide coaching, and identify training needs to develop team capabilities and strengthen organizational competencies.
  • Champion continuous process improvement efforts in maintenance operations by leveraging data analysis, feedback, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare and present maintenance reports and presentations using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to inform senior management and support strategic decision-making.
