Key Account Supervisor

KLA Consultants is a Karachi-based tax, accounting and management consultancy serving a growing portfolio of corporate clients across Pakistan. We are looking for a driven Accounts Supervisor to lead our bookkeeping and client accounting function — managing on-site client teams, owning our remote bookkeeping desk, and building the internal processes that make both run smoothly.

Role and responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor bookkeeping staff deployed across multiple client premises; set daily priorities, review work quality and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
• Act as the primary escalation point for BDO and remote bookkeeping clients across all assigned accounts.
• Oversee month-end close, financial statement preparation, bank reconciliations and management reporting for all client accounts.
• Design, document and continuously improve standard operating procedures for bookkeeping, remote client onboarding, reconciliation cycles and monthly close.
• Manage and configure cloud-based ERP systems (ERPNext and similar) for client accounts; train and guide junior team members on system use.
• Coordinate with the tax team to ensure accounting records are ready for monthly WHT statements, sales tax returns and annual income tax filings.
• Maintain audit trails and uphold documentation and quality standards across all engagements.
• Liaise with clients professionally, manage expectations and flag issues to senior management proactively.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field (M.Com, MBA, MS Finance or equivalent).
• 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or team-lead role.
• Strong working knowledge of Pakistani accounting standards, FBR/IRIS, withholding tax, sales tax compliance and SECP filings.
• Advanced Excel skills — pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reconciliation templates and financial models.
• Hands-on experience with a cloud-based ERP (ERPNext, QuickBooks Online, Xero or similar).
• Strong communication skills — able to manage client relationships and coordinate across teams professionally.

Preferred qualifications

• Partly or fully qualified with ICAP, ICMAP or ACCA, or an active professional body membership.
• Prior experience at a professional services firm, BDO client environment or outsourced bookkeeping desk.
• Experience managing staff across multiple client sites simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to write SOPs and build internal processes from scratch.
