Deputy Manager Financial Reporting

Job Description

Marwat Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Deputy Manager Financial Reporting to join the Finance & Accounts department at our Karachi location. This role requires an experienced professional with a strong background in financial reporting, accounting standards compliance, and financial analysis within the retail and manufacturing industry. The Deputy Manager will lead a team of 15 finance professionals, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements that support strategic decision-making and maintain regulatory compliance. This position demands proficiency in ERP systems and advanced analytical skills to manage complex financial data and deliver insightful reports. The Deputy Manager will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of financial reporting activities, including the preparation and review of financial statements, general ledger management, and coordination with both internal and external auditors. The role also involves overseeing budgeting and forecasting processes, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring adherence to IFRS and other financial regulations. Effective communication, leadership abilities, and the capability to handle tight deadlines are essential to succeed in this fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
 

• Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Manage general ledger activities including account reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial data.
• Coordinate and liaise with internal and external auditors to facilitate successful audit completion.
• Analyze financial data and trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Oversee and guide the budgeting and forecasting processes to support organizational financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, financial reporting standards such as IFRS, and company policies.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of 15 finance professionals, fostering their development and ensuring high performance.
• Utilize ERP systems effectively to streamline financial reporting workflows and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate across departments to gather relevant financial information and support strategic initiatives.
• Implement and maintain controls to safeguard financial information and support accurate reporting.
• Communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
• Manage multiple deadlines and priorities to deliver timely financial reports and analyses.
