We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented *Data Centre Technician* to support the day-to-day operations of our data centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining IT infrastructure, monitoring critical systems, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the availability and reliability of data centre operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and maintain data centre infrastructure and equipment.
* Install, replace, and troubleshoot hardware components.
* Perform preventive maintenance on servers, racks, power, and cooling systems.
* Monitor environmental conditions to ensure optimal operating standards.
* Assist with hardware installation, structured cabling, and equipment relocation.
* Maintain inventory records and maintenance documentation.
* Report, troubleshoot, and escalate infrastructure issues promptly.
* Follow operational and safety procedures to ensure uninterrupted services.
Requirements
* Diploma in Systems, Electrical Engineering, Cooling Systems, or a related field.
* Minimum *3 years* of experience in data centre operations or a similar role.
* Hands-on experience with server hardware, rack management, and structured cabling.
* Knowledge of power distribution, UPS systems, cooling infrastructure, and preventive maintenance.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
