Job Description

GCS Pvt Ltd is seeking a dedicated Assistant Engineer, IT, with a strong foundation in network troubleshooting and incident management. The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years’ experience in the IT field, specializing in access control and networking. This position focuses on installing, configuring, and maintaining critical security and networking devices, such as access control systems, routers, servers, and various surveillance technologies. The role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of diagnosing technical issues and implementing effective solutions to ensure seamless network and device performance. While this role does not involve team management, it demands a proactive approach to maintaining system integrity and supporting organizational IT infrastructure needs. The Assistant Engineer, IT, plays a vital role at GCS Pvt Ltd by ensuring all hardware and software components related to security and networking are efficiently operational. This includes regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and remote configuration of devices like NVR, DVR, MDVR, IP cameras, and digital display screens. The position requires hands-on technical expertise along with an ability to manage incident workflows and resolve problems promptly with minimal supervision. Responsibilities
 

• Install and configure access control devices, software applications, and networking equipment including routers and servers to ensure operational readiness.
• Set up, configure, and maintain hardware such as NVR, DVR, MDVR, IP cameras, and LCD/LED screens with correct remote access and monitoring settings.
• Diagnose and resolve networking issues by analyzing hardware and software to maintain continuous network performance and security.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all IT and security-related equipment to reduce downtime and extend device life.
• Manage incident reports and execute effective troubleshooting strategies to quickly restore service following any system interruptions or failures.
• Coordinate remote access configurations to ensure secure and reliable monitoring capabilities for various security devices.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, configurations, and incident resolutions to support future troubleshooting and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to support integration and interoperability between different systems and devices.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards concerning IT security and system maintenance.
• Continuously update technical knowledge related to access control devices, networking technologies, and troubleshooting best practices.
