Accountant

Kafi Commodities is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate possesses strong skills in financial reporting, accounting software, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger management. This role requires proficiency in Excel, budgeting, reconciliation, financial analysis, and preparing financial statements. Familiarity with SAP Financial Accounting Module and effective accounts receivable management is essential. The Accountant will work independently without team management responsibilities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and standards while supporting the companys financial operations. The Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of financial information by monitoring transactions and reconciling accounts regularly. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to produce clear and accurate financial reports. The candidate should hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree with foundational knowledge of basic accounting principles. Responsibilities
 

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy in all financial transactions and postings.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform budgeting activities and assist in the preparation of financial forecasts to support decision-making.
• Utilize accounting software and the SAP Financial Accounting Module to process financial data and transactions effectively.
• Conduct account reconciliations to verify and correct discrepancies between ledger entries and supporting documentation.
• Analyze financial information to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards by maintaining detailed and organized financial records.
• Collaborate with auditors during financial audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collections and maintain accurate customer account records.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing necessary schedules and adjusting journal entries.
• Maintain proficiency with Excel to create detailed spreadsheets, reports, and analytical tools to support financial management.
• Assist in the implementation and upgrades of accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations, standards, and industry best practices applicable to the role.
• Provide support to the finance team and other departments as required, ensuring smooth execution of financial operations.
