Unit Head - Quality Assurance (AVP)

Reporting to:

Senior Credit Officer - Credit Risk Management Division

Educational /Professional Qualification:

• Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university / college / institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan
• Candidates having Master's degree and / or relevant qualifications / diplomas in data analytics and Business Intelligence will be given preference

Experience:

• Minimum 06 years of banking experience, with at least 04 years in audit of Corporate and / or Commercial segments, either in the business audit and / or on risk management audit of a commercial bank

Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required:
 

• Knowledge of banking products, credit risk management, credit policies, SBP regulations and internal control frameworks
• Understanding of audit, governance, compliance and risk monitoring processes
• Strong analytical, review and report writing skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Good coordination, communication and follow up skills
• Ability to maintain records, proactive follow ups ensuring timely compliance
• Attention to detail and problem solving ability

Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities:

• To coordinate with Internal Audit, External Audit, Compliance, Risk Management Group and other stakeholders regarding audit observations, governance matters and compliance requirements
• To monitor, track and follow up on audit observations, timely submission of required information, data, replies and supporting documents to audit, managing responses and action plans related to Credit Risk Management Division, for proactive closure
• To prepare status reports, summaries, replies and presentations regarding audit and governance matters for Senior Management
• To assist in reviewing existing processes, controls and procedures to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
• To maintain proper record of audit observations, compliance status, governance reports and related correspondence
• To support Senior Credit Officer in ensuring implementation of credit policies, internal controls and governance standard
• To coordinate with relevant units of CRMD for resolution of audit matter
• To highlight overdue, critical or recurring audit observations to the reporting officer for necessary action
• To assist in preparation of periodic governance reports for management review
• To ensure confidentiality, accuracy and completeness of data and documents shared with stakeholders
• To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)
