Senior Procurement Officer

We are looking for a committed Senior Procurement Officer to oversee the acquisition of medical, pharmaceutical, and non-medical supplies in line with hospital requirements. This role is vital in ensuring that all necessary materials and equipment are available on time, fostering strong vendor relationships, and supporting cost-efficient purchasing practices within a healthcare setting. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple hospital departments to maintain smooth procurement operations and contribute to the overall efficiency of the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end procurement process for medical, pharmaceutical, and non-medical supplies based on hospital demands. Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate prices with vendors, and secure the best possible terms to support cost-effective purchasing. Prepare and process all procurement documentation, including purchase requisitions and purchase orders. Collaborate with various hospital departments to guarantee timely delivery of required materials and equipment. Monitor inventory levels regularly and work closely with the store department to prevent stock shortages or excess inventory. Maintain detailed vendor records and assess supplier performance considering quality, pricing, and delivery timelines. Ensure all procurement activities comply with hospital policies and remain within approved budget limits. Follow up with suppliers on deliveries, invoices, warranties, and any outstanding orders to ensure smooth operations. Keep accurate procurement records, contracts, and reports for auditing and review purposes. Coordinate with the Finance Department to verify invoices and facilitate timely payment processing.

Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is essential. Candidates may be fresh graduates or possess between six months to one year of experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment. Strong negotiation and communication skills are crucial, along with effective vendor management capabilities. Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with ERP or Hospital Management Systems is required. The candidate should demonstrate good analytical, organizational, and documentation skills. The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict procurement deadlines is important.
