Al Arshad Traders seeks a skilled Procurement & Business Development Specialist to manage the complete tender operations, driving efficient supply chain management through strategic sourcing and credit negotiation. This role requires a market expert adept at leveraging strong relationships with wholesalers and suppliers to secure materials on credit while ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximizing profit margins. The specialist leads a team of four professionals and plays a critical part in identifying project opportunities and collaborating with investors for funding, contributing directly to the companys growth and success. The ideal candidate brings 5 to 7 years of experience in wholesale market dealings, combined with excellent communication and persuasion skills. They utilize market research, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management to enhance business performance. The role combines fixed monthly compensation with a high commission structure based on successful projects, offering substantial earning potential and career advancement opportunities within Al Arshad Traders.
Responsibilities
 

  • Manage end-to-end tender operations and oversee a team of four members to ensure seamless procurement and business development activities.
  • Maintain and strengthen existing relationships with market vendors, wholesalers, and suppliers to secure favorable credit terms based on a strong personal market reputation.
  • Conduct strategic sourcing activities to identify suppliers offering the lowest market rates without compromising quality, thus maximizing profit margins.
  • Lead credit negotiation processes with wholesalers and suppliers to arrange material acquisitions on credit against firm purchase orders, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
  • Perform comprehensive market research to analyze supplier options, pricing trends, and credit opportunities that align with business objectives.
  • Identify and pitch attractive projects to potential investors, facilitating funding opportunities and fostering long-term investment partnerships.
  • Apply cost analysis techniques to evaluate current and potential supplier proposals, negotiating contracts that benefit the companys financial goals.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to expand the client base and increase market share through innovative supply chain solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align supply chain performance with overall business targets and operational demands.
  • Monitor supplier performance and market conditions continuously to provide insightful recommendations for improving procurement tactics.
  • Champion the companys interests in all supplier and investor communications, employing strong persuasion skills to negotiate optimal terms.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all procurement and credit transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
