Field Sales Officer – FMCG

We are looking for an energetic and analytical Field Sales Officer to support the growth of our FMCG business. This role combines hands-on market execution with sales reporting, distribution development, and channel analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit retail outlets and distributors regularly to generate sales and build relationships.
• Expand product availability across general trade and other relevant sales channels.
• Identify and map new markets, territories, retailers, wholesalers, and distribution opportunities.
• Monitor stock availability, product placement, pricing, competitor activity, and market trends.
• Support distributors in achieving sales targets and improving market coverage.
• Collect accurate field data and maintain updated outlet and channel records.
• Prepare sales reports and analyze territory performance using spreadsheets and sales software.
• Follow up with retailers, distributors, and internal teams to resolve operational issues.
• Ensure effective execution of promotions, visibility standards, and new product launches.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of field sales experience, preferably within FMCG or general trade.
• Understanding of distribution, retail coverage, channel mapping, and territory development.
• Strong computer and software skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and sales reporting systems.
• Comfortable with both extensive fieldwork and office-based data analysis.
• Strong communication, negotiation, follow-up, and relationship-management skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working against targets.
• Ability to ride a motorcycle and hold a valid driving license
