As an Engineering Manager, you will present yourself as a strong leader to our technical team in Pakistan, delivering A‑class products and driving new industry trends while challenging peers. You will design and deliver the most complex products and be part of a platform that handles millions of requests per day.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop cloud software applications.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Infrastructure, Design, UX, CLM, and Strategy to deliver high‑quality products and enforce agile practices such as test‑driven development, continuous integration, and test automation.
• Collaborate with offshore teams for architectural and delivery issues.
• Cultivate and prioritize the technical backlog, balancing immediate and future needs.
• Analyze and remediate production issues, building fault tolerance and operational readiness into the system architecture.
• Act as a software guardian; own non‑functional requirements, architectural direction, code quality, and address technical debt.
• Mentor team members on good code design patterns.
• Lead hiring of high‑performing engineers, continually raising the bar of engineering talent.
• Identify growth areas for team members and provide personalized development paths.
• Lead the team technically and act as a project and product manager.
• Ensure the highest standards of security for all platforms and underlying infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field.
• 10+ years of server/client‑side software development experience and at least 3 years in a management role.
• Experience leading teams, including performance and people management.
• In‑depth understanding of free and open‑source software development (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Objective‑C, etc.) and strong knowledge of scalability and high‑availability systems.
• Experience in operations and managing live production applications, monitoring, remediation, and incident management.
• Strong understanding of RESTful service design, API design, and best practices for building resilient, maintainable distributed systems.
• Solid experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and related technologies (a plus).
• Experience with Kubernetes (a plus).
• Experience working on high‑traffic, large‑scale web products or platforms.
