About The Role

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will play a transformative role in shaping and executing the company’s marketing and growth strategies as we expand our psychiatric services across the United States. The CMO will be responsible for building a strong national brand presence, driving patient acquisition, and strengthening partnerships across hospitals, clinics, and payors.

This role requires a strategic thinker and results-driven leader who can blend creativity with data-driven insights. The CMO will lead efforts in brand positioning, digital marketing, content strategy, community outreach, and growth campaigns. In collaboration with the executive team, the CMO will ensure that PsychPlus stands at the forefront of innovation in mental healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive patient acquisition, retention, and brand recognition on a national scale.
  • Lead digital-first campaigns across multiple channels (SEO, SEM, paid media, social, content, PR, partnerships).
  • Oversee brand development and positioning to establish PsychPlus as a national leader in behavioral healthcare.
  • Build and manage a high-performing marketing team across digital, creative, communications, and analytics functions.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of campaigns, focusing on ROI, patient engagement, and conversion metrics.
  • Partner with product and clinical teams to align marketing strategies with patient needs and company innovations (e.g., EHR system, digital-first care model).
  • Drive national awareness through PR, thought leadership, and strategic partnerships with hospital systems and community organizations.
  • Lead market research efforts to identify new growth opportunities and expansion strategies.
  • Ensure all marketing practices comply with healthcare advertising regulations and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE HealthCare Experience
  • 8–12+ years of marketing experience, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, digital health, or a mission-driven startup environment strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of scaling marketing efforts and driving significant growth through performance marketing and brand strategy
  • Strong understanding of the patient journey and digital acquisition funnels
  • Data-driven decision maker with experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, Tableau, etc.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Additional Information

The expected base pay for this role will be between $2,000 to $3,000 monthly at the commencement of employment, paid in USD. However, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location and years of experience. Further, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Psychplus Health-sponsored benefits.
