The Cash Officer at Easypaisa Digital Bank plays a vital role in managing cash transactions with accuracy and adherence to established policies. This position involves handling customer cash withdrawals and deposits within assigned limits while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls. The Cash Officer is responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of cash operations, including sorting and managing notes according to the bank's clean note policy, processing clearing instruments, and reconciling daily cash balances. This role requires excellent customer handling and communication skills combined with strong problem-solving and time management abilities. The Cash Officer must also ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements such as KYC and prudential guidelines, contributing to the banks risk and compliance culture. The role includes responsibilities such as custody of branch vault keys, daily reconciliation of transaction portals, and supporting management by acting as a backup for related operational roles. Continuous efforts to uphold the banks values and behaviors, while managing compliance risk in daily activities, are essential responsibilities for success in this position.
Responsibilities
 

  • Process customer cash withdrawals and deposits accurately within assigned cash limits.
  • Sort and manage cash according to the clean note policy to maintain currency quality standards.
  • Accept and process inward and outward clearing instruments promptly and accurately on the banks system.
  • Reconcile daily cash balances by verifying system reports against physical cash vault registers.
  • Secure branch vault and shutter keys when required, ensuring controlled access and security.
  • Arrange and deliver collaterals linked to closed accounts to customers timely and accurately.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of Easy Paisa Merchant Portal and UBP transactions to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Ensure full compliance with prudential norms, Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a backup resource for the Customer Service Officer and Operations Manager, fulfilling all defined responsibilities as required.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in miscellaneous operational assignments to support efficient branch operations.
  • Maintain auditable standards by ensuring that Independent Controls and Financial Reporting (ICFR) processes and reports are accurately recorded and accessible.
  • Foster a culture of risk and compliance management throughout daily activities, incorporating performance measures tied to individual compliance responsibilities.
  • Manage inherent compliance risks in daily tasks, updating systems, policies, and procedures as necessary to mitigate risks.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Easypaisa Banks behaviors and values in all aspects of work conduct.
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and maintain high service standards under varying workload conditions.
