Senior Sales Upseller — Book Publishing Vertical

About the Role

This is a senior, consultative expansion role within our publishing portfolio. You do not prospect, and you do not handle first-time enquiries. Instead, you receive authors and clients who have already purchased an entry-tier publishing engagement, and your mandate is to expand that relationship into a full-service publishing or premium ghostwriting package — typically worth between five and twenty-five thousand dollars or more.

Every client handed to you has already committed to us in some capacity. Your role is to understand their full vision for their book — its scope, its audience, its ambitions — and present the premium package that matches: full ghostwriting, bestseller launch campaigns, marketing services, ongoing author support. This is high-trust, consultative selling to clients who are often emotionally invested in their work and require both empathy and authority.

What You Will Do

You will engage newly converted publishing clients, conduct in-depth discovery conversations about their book's full scope and goals, and present premium packages accordingly. Much of your selling will involve educating clients on the realities of professional publishing before guiding them toward the appropriate investment. The majority of this work happens through scheduled calls rather than chat, and each conversation is substantial.

You will be measured on expansion value: the proportion of clients you grow into premium engagements, and the total expansion revenue you generate.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a proven, senior consultative closer who can hold space for an author's creative ambitions while guiding them firmly toward realistic, valuable services. You read people well, you distinguish serious investors from aspirational dreamers quickly, and you sell with both empathy and conviction.

A demonstrable personal sales track record is the central, non-negotiable requirement of this role. We require a minimum "15K profile" — that is, clear evidence of at least USD $15,000 in personal monthly closed revenue in a previous role. This is a firm threshold. Applications that cannot evidence personal production at this level will not be progressed. You should be fully prepared to substantiate your record with real figures, dashboards, screenshots, or verifiable references during the interview process.

Beyond the production requirement, you should bring at least three to four years of sales experience, with a track record in higher-ticket consultative selling in the five-to-twenty-five-thousand-dollar range. Backgrounds in publishing, writing services, professional services, or premium agency environments are strongly preferred. Excellent written and verbal English is essential.

Working Hours

9:00 AM to 6:00 PM United States business hours, which corresponds to a 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM shift in Pakistan Standard Time. Karachi-based or remote.
