We are seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements. The role requires hands-on experience in bookkeeping, vouchers, reconciliations, and coordination with internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain books of accounts including cash book, bank book, and ledgers
  • Prepare and post vouchers (cash, bank, journal, and adjustment entries)
  • Handle daily cash and bank transactions and perform bank reconciliations
  • Assist in daily accounts operations.
  • Filing and maintain proper record of vouchers, invoices, receipts, and supporting documents
  • Coordinate with auditors and assist during internal and external audits
  • Ensure compliance with organizational financial policies and procedures
  • Record daily financial transactions in registers and software

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in ERP or computerized accounting systems and MS Excel
  • Good understanding of taxation and statutory compliance
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Good communication and coordination skills
