About the job

The Accounts & Finance Manager (Remotely from Karachi only) will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting and finance functions, including payroll, cash flow management, budgeting, financial analysis, reporting, and statutory compliance. The role will support management by providing accurate financial insights, maintaining strong financial controls, optimizing costs, and contributing to strategic financial planning to ensure financial stability and sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Accounting & Financial Operations
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
• Ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts and timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities
• Handle and supervise routine accounting activities to ensure smooth daily financial operations
• Review financial transactions and ensure accuracy and proper documentation
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
• Payroll & Funds Management
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, disbursements, and payroll reporting
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time
• Ensure payroll compliance with applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies
• Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain sufficient liquidity for operational requirements
• Oversee funds management, including cash positioning, payment scheduling, and working capital management
• Monitor upcoming financial obligations and ensure timely payments
• Budgeting, Cost Control & Analysis
• Prepare department-wise budgets and monitor actual performance against approved budgets
• Conduct monthly cost analysis and identify significant budget variances
• Investigate and explain departmental budget overruns and recommend corrective actions
• Identify opportunities to reduce overhead and operational costs without impacting business continuity or service quality
• Analyze business performance to identify loss-making accounts, products, services, or campaigns
• Recommend strategies to improve profitability and financial efficiency
• Financial Analysis & Planning
• Analyze profitability across products, services, clients, departments, and business units
• Provide management with financial insights to support business and operational decisions
• Assist in developing long-term financial plans aligned with organizational objectives
• Prepare scenario-based financial forecasts for business expansion, investments, cost optimization, and other strategic initiatives
• Monitor financial trends and provide recommendations based on business performance
• Financial Reporting & Compliance
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Prepare and present Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax laws, accounting standards, and internal financial controls
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and relevant regulatory authorities
• Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit observations
• Maintain proper financial documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes
• Present annual financial reports and key financial insights to management to support decision-making
  
   

Requirements

 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, with experience managing finance operations
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Hands-on experience with payroll, cash flow management, AP/AR, general ledger, and reconciliations
• Strong understanding of tax and statutory compliance requirements
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and accounting/ERP software
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage confidential financial information
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial information to management
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple financial priorities within deadlines
  
   

Preferred Experience

 

• Experience in a marketing agency, BPO, technology, or service-based organization
• Experience managing finances across multiple departments, clients, or business units
• Experience with financial forecasting, profitability analysis, and cost optimization
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CA, CMA, or equivalent is a plus
