Position Overview

As a Senior Accountant at Edge, you will play a pivotal role in leading financial management, month-end operational cycles, and strategic reporting for assigned clients across North America. You will act as a key financial advisor, driving accounting accuracy, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, and translating complex financial data into meaningful business insights. This role is ideal for high-performing accounting professionals seeking to expand their international exposure and partner directly with high-growth US and Canadian businesses.

Employment Type: Part-Time - Fully remote

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (schedule based on client requirements - Schedule can be in PST/MST/EST/CST)

Key Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end month-end and year-end close processes to guarantee timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare, analyze, and review comprehensive financial statements in strict compliance with US GAAP and/or IFRS standards.
• Conduct in-depth variance and trend analyses, delivering actionable recommendations to optimize financial performance.
• Oversee complex journal entries, revenue recognition, and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain total financial integrity.
• Lead audit preparation, coordinate tax compliance, and streamline reporting workflows for assigned entities.
• Review work performed by junior accountants, providing technical leadership, quality control, and continuous mentorship.
• Develop, refine, and enforce internal controls and accounting policies to mitigate operational risk.
• Collaborate directly with foreign executive teams, serving as a reliable primary point of contact for financial operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a reputable university.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• ACCA or CA finalist.
• 2 to 4 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting.
• Experience preparing month-end financial reports.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with global teams.
