Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for mechanical failures across production equipment
Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for complex machinery, including vibration analysis, thermography, and lubrication management.
Direct and manage day-to-day workshop operations involving fabrication, precision milling, lathe machining, and welding, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
Supervise and conduct machining and fabrication tasks, including designing and manufacturing custom components as needed, using lathes, and welding equipment.
Plan, design, and implement modifications to existing machinery and systems for capacity upgrades, improving performance, reducing downtime, and enhancing energy efficiency.
Ensure that machinery and equipment are compliant with safety standards, conducting risk assessments and implementing necessary safety protocols during maintenance and operation.
Develop technical documentation, maintenance logs, and operational manuals, ensuring accurate records of repairs, modifications, and routine inspections.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure the seamless integration of mechanical systems into overall production workflows, providing expert input on system design and machinery upgrades.
Lead troubleshooting efforts in collaboration with cross-functional teams to address complex mechanical and electrical issues in production machinery.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
Extensive hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial machinery
Strong practical knowledge and proficiency in workshop operations, including the milling machines, lathes, and welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick).
Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and machine controls.
In-depth understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance strategies, with a focus on extending equipment lifespan and minimizing unscheduled downtime.
Expertise in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and 3D models for machinery and system designs
