Job Description

Hillcrest Solutions (Private) Limited is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Officer to oversee the quality assurance processes for leather jackets throughout various production stages. This role involves managing a team of five professionals to ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. The Quality Control Officer closely monitors material inspection, cutting, stitching, finishing, and packaging stages, identifying defects and ensuring that only approved products proceed to dispatch or further processing. They serve as the primary liaison among production, supply chain, and supplier teams, addressing quality concerns and supporting continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years of experience in leather garment manufacturing, with strong knowledge of leather quality inspection, stitching, measurements, finishing, and packaging standards. They demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and strong communication skills to maintain comprehensive quality documentation and reports. The role demands the ability to work on-site and travel to various production locations and warehouses, ensuring consistent product quality across all sites while leading and developing their team to uphold quality control procedures.
Responsibilities
 

• Conduct thorough quality inspections of leather jackets at all stages of production, including material receipt, cutting, stitching, finishing, and packaging.
• Lead and manage a team of five quality control personnel to ensure adherence to established quality standards and procedures.
• Identify defects, non-conformities, and any deviations from approved specifications, measurements, finishing standards, and workmanship requirements.
• Maintain detailed inspection reports, defect records, and quality documentation to provide accurate data for analysis and decision-making.
• Collaborate effectively with production, supply chain, and supplier teams to promptly resolve quality issues and enhance product quality.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures to continuously improve product consistency and reduce defects.
• Perform supplier quality checks and assist in the evaluation and monitoring of supplier performance to ensure material quality.
• Provide actionable feedback for process improvements aimed at minimizing repeated quality issues and enhancing overall production efficiency.
• Ensure that only products meeting the highest quality standards are approved and forwarded for dispatch or further processing.
• Support training initiatives to improve the skills and knowledge of quality control team members.
• Travel to supplier locations, production units, and warehouses as necessary to conduct inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Reduce product defects, customer complaints, returns, and rejections by enforcing quality assurance best practices and resolving issues promptly.
• Review and approve finished leather jacket products to certify compliance with all quality requirements prior to shipping.
